Assistant Pool Manager
Under supervision of the Pool Manager assists in the supervision of aquatics programs. Assists in training, staff development, scheduling, and supervising aquatic staff. Assists in completing all necessary records and paper work. Ensures the safety of facility patrons by preventing accidents and responding to emergencies. Performs other related duties as required. Assists in maintaining of the aquatic facility and its programs. Provides customer service and enforces parks and recreation rules and regulations. A sample of duties may include but not be limited to: Assisting in staff training, Overseeing daily operations in the absence of the Manager, completing all logs and reports as necessary. Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS, EVENING HOURS, AND HOLIDAYS AND TO FULFILL THEIR JOB DUTIES THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SEASON. (May-September)
Must be 18 years old or above. Must be able to successfully meet all course requirements as outlined in the Ellis & Associates National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program, or posses a current National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program License. Must possess at least one (1) season at the Senior Guard level or the equivalent of education and or experience. Knowledge of recreation services, aquatic programs, and the ability to deal effectively with both youth and adults, and work without immediate supervision. Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight. Ability to work efficiently within the parameters of an established Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Ability to exit from a pool/attraction at any point without the use of ladders, steps, or a zero depth exit. Posses a valid California driver’s license.
$12.59 – 15.30 per hour, no benefits
