Commissions

The Parks and Recreation Department provides staff support to these commissions:

	Arts Commission This 5-member commission was formed with members appointed by City Council. This commission meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers and encourages, stimulates, promotes and fosters programs for the cultural enrichment of the City and surrounding areas.
	Park and Recreation Commission This 5-member commission meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00p.m. in the City Council Chambers and is the appointed body by City Council to deal with park and recreation issues and development.
	Youth Commission This 10-member commission, appointed by the City Council, meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00p.m. in the City Council Chambers and provides direction and leadership related to youth issues in Brentwood.
