The Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to the wellbeing and quality of life of our community.  We provide the best in programs, parks and services at a great value to our customers.  Brentwood has 234 developed acres of parkland, 70 award winning parks and facilities, 19.2 miles of beautiful trails, and 60 miles of bike lanes.  We offer over 100 recreational activities and events for people of all ages and interests.

Christmas Tree Lighting Event

November 21, 2016 

The City of Brentwood's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Friday, December 2nd beginning at 6 p.m. in the Brentwood Community Center and City Park. This free event will include music, singing, hot drinks and goodies. The tree lighting will take place at 7 p.m. sharp and snow flurries will once again appear! Santa will visit immediately following the lighting of the tree.

Brentwood Neighborhood Committee Holiday Home of the Season Contest

November 15, 2016 

Think you have the most festive house on the block? The Brentwood Neighborhood Committee (BNC) is seeking homes within the Brentwood city limits whose front yards capture the spirit of the holiday season. This is a great way to show off your community pride and light up this special season. It's also a perfect project for the entire family to enjoy. So, pull out your Santa, sled, reindeer, wreath and don't forget the lights!

Do you want to build a snowman?

October 21, 2016 

Design and build your own Snowman/Snowgirl/Snowpeople/Snow Scene! Displays will run December 12th - 22nd. In addition, every night from 6-8 p.m., Snow in the Park photo opportunities will be available. Families can come down to City Park and enjoy Christmas music, lighted snowman plots, activities for the kids,and snow will magically appear on the Christmas Tree and in the park for snow park fun!

A Letter from Santa

A personal, newsy little letter from the "North Pole" for your special little "believers". Letters will vary and may cover topics such as weather conditions, reindeer health, Mrs. Claus and the elves keeping Santa on track, and the spirit of Christmas.
