City of Brentwood - Egret Park Play Structure

CITY OF BRENTWOOD TO CELEBRATE RIBBON CUTTING FOR EGRET PARK

BRENTWOOD, CA -- The City of Brentwood invites the community to a special ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the newly renovated play structure at Egret Park, located at 580 Eileen Street, on Wednesday, May 14 at 4:00 PM.

Originally constructed in 2017, Egret Park has served as a valued neighborhood space for families to gather and children to play. Over time, wear and tear left key pieces of the play structure, particularly both slides, damaged and unusable. Complicating repairs, the original equipment vendor is no longer in business, making it impossible for staff to secure the replacement parts needed to restore the equipment. As part of the City’s continued investment in park infrastructure, this project replaces the damaged play structures with brand-new, modern equipment designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for children of all abilities.

“With over 100 parks in the City of Brentwood, these outdoor spaces are a vital part of what makes our community so special,” said Interim City Manager Darin Gale. “Parks like Egret provide families with places to connect, play, and enjoy the outdoors together. This renovation is part of our continued commitment to ensuring safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces for all residents to enjoy.”

The Egret Park play structure renovation is part of the City’s 2024/25 – 2028/29 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and supports City Council’s Strategic Plan Initiatives, which focus on delivering new infrastructure, enhancing existing facilities, and ensuring continued investment in Brentwood’s future.
