The City of Brentwood recently hosted a special celebration honoring the contributions and growth of its talented group of Interns. This event provided interns with a valuable opportunity to connect with City employees, fostering networking, self-reflection on their passions and career choices, and exploration of a diverse range of career paths within the City. City staff shared insights on careers in public service, communications, environmental science, law enforcement, and more. Interns were able to engage in meaningful conversations, ask questions, and build connections that may shape their future careers.

As the internship program nears its end, the Interns are preparing for one final opportunity to shine. On June 10th, they will present to City Council on their experience and highlight the projects they have accomplished throughout the program, reflect on their hands-on experience gained in the departments of their choice, and provide guidance and suggestions for further development of the City’s internship program.

Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to support the interns and hear about the real impact they’ve had during their time with the City. The council meeting will be held at City Hall at 150 City Park Way, and will also be livestreamed on the City’s website.
