BRENTWOOD CELEBRATES THE RIBBON CUTTING OF EGRET PARK

The City of Brentwood held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new play structure at Egret Park.
City staff, Councilmembers, Commissioners, and local families came out to mark the occasion. Originally built in 2017, Egret Park has been a well-loved space. Over time, both slides and other parts of the play structure were damaged beyond repair and with the original manufacturer no longer in business, replacement wasn’t an option. Continue reading…

BEFORE YOU BUILD: CHECK THE ACCESSORY STRUCTURE REQUIREMENTS

Some accessory structures may require a permit. For example:
-
Sheds over 120 sq. ft. or any shed with plumbing or electrical will need a permit
-
Any structure with a roof or cover, like patio covers, gazebos, pergolas, or carports, requires a permit, no matter the size
Additionally, all accessory structures must follow setback requirements, even if a permit isn’t required. Before starting any project, take a moment to review the City’s accessory structure requirements before you build.

The Brentwood Family Aquatic Complex kicked off its 2025 season starting Saturday, May 17.
