The City has contracted with Ghilotti Bros., Inc. (GBI) to do improvements along Helen Myers Way (Midway), from Pine Street to Birch Street, and Park Way, from Chestnut Street to Birch Street. Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 22nd, 2025 and anticipated to be completed by September 2026. The hours of construction will be limited to 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

The work to be done includes demolition and replacement of

• curb & gutters

• alley driveways

• asphalt

• sewer line

• water line

More impactful work will be completed in segments, beginning with Park Way in November.

While performing certain construction activities, there will be full closures during work hours, and all vehicles and equipment will need to be moved off the street. Further notices will be delivered as construction progresses and as closures and utility shutoffs are needed. All are encouraged to exercise caution when traveling through the construction area, watch for and follow all posted construction and traffic control signage, and allow extra travel time as minor delays may occur.
