Early Bird Doesn't Always Get the Worm!
In an effort to maintain fairness and uphold City policy, the Parks and Recreation Department will hold all registrations received prior to the resident registration start date and one week later for non-resident registration start dates, and will not process them until 24 hours after the official registration opens.  If  at that time the activity is full, the Refund Policy will be followed.  Please note: All payments must be deposited on the day they are received.

Refund Policy
Our department strives to provide you with high quality programs.  Some situations that occur are beyond our control.  Withdrawals/refunds could cause the class/activity to drop below minimum required attendance, which could cause the class/activity/program to be cancelled.  City reserves the right to cancel a program and refund under extenuating circumstances.  Should you be dissatisfied, contact us and staff will work with you to the best of our ability.
  • Refunds will be considered upon request to the Parks and Recreation Department
  • Refund requests made no later than half way through a class/activity/session may be subject to a partial refund.  If applicable, a uniform fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • Refund requests made after the last class/activity/session will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Refunds are processed within 30 days.
  • Refund policities may vary for Adult Leagues, Aquatics, Senior Trips and Facility Permits.

Classes without minimum enrollment will be cancelled or combined.  If the activity, class, or trip is cancelled, the City will issue a refund or credit your account.

Youth Sports and Pre-School Sports Activities Policy
Waitlists may be established once an activity has reached maximum capacity or the registration period has closed.  Waitlists will only be taken up to five (5) business days after registration has ended.  If a space opens, you will be notified.  Being placed on a waitlist does not guarantee placement in an activity.  If placed, an additional service charge of $24.20 will be added to the cost of the program.

Youth Activity Scholarship Assistance Program
Would you like to register your child for an activity, but can't because of a limited family budget?  Partial financial assistance may be available through our Youth Activity Scholarship Assistance Program.
