Please beware of fraudulent requests for payment. The City will never request that you send your credit card or bank information over the phone or via e-mail to pay permit fees, nor will we request a wire transfer. Payments are only accepted through our electronic permitting portal or by delivery to City offices in person or by mail. Please contact the Community Development Department at (925) 516-5405 with payment or billing questions.
Permit Center staff are available via email, phone, or in-person with an appointment or during walk-in hours. Please contact the Permit Center by calling 925-516-5405 or emailing building@brentwoodca.gov.
Payments cannot be taken after 4pm daily.

Customers Wanting to Submit Applications, Plans, and Documents to the Community Development Department
- Customers can submit Planning and Building applications, plans, or documents to Community Development staff in five different ways: 1) through the Electronic Submittal Portal, 2) by scheduling an appointment, 3) by visiting City Hall during walk-in hours, 4) any time during normal business hours in the designated drop-off area in the permit center, and 5) through USPS or other delivery services.
- Customers may set up an appointment time to submit materials by calling (925) 516-5405 or by e-mailing building@brentwoodca.gov.
Customers Wanting to Receive Permits, Plans, and Documents From the Community Development Department
- Customers can also receive permits, plans, or documents from Community Development staff in the following ways: 1) downloading your documents from the Electronic Submittal Portal, 2) scheduling an appointment, 3) visiting the Permit Center during walk-in hours, 4) from staff in the designated pick-up area in the permit center, or 5) through USPS or other delivery services, as requested.
