OBTAINING A MOBILE VENDING PERMIT

Before applying for City of Brentwood Mobile Vending Permit, gather the following documents and have in pdf format.

What documents are required?

  • Copy of valid City of Brentwood Business Tax Certificate. Click here to apply if you do not have a current City of Brentwood Business Tax Certificate.
  • Copy of $1 million Liability insurance.  Click here for a sample certificate of Liability Insurance.
  • Copy of Valid Contra Costa County Health Department Permit for food related vending unless food is pre-packaged or non-refrigerated and food operation display area is 25 square foot or less or if selling produce is whole and uncooked.
  • Photo Copy of Valid Driver's License.

Once all the documents are gathered, start the application process for City of Brentwood Mobile Vending Permit. 

Instructions for setting up your user account and submitting applications electronically can be found here:  eTRAKiT Setup and Use Instructions.  Please follow the instructions found on page 9 for attachments, as attachments not submitted properly will be rejected.

There is a nonrefundable application fee of $25.00 to be paid upon submittal of application.  Once application is approved, a permit fee of $137.11 will be paid prior to issuance.  

We recommend using a desk or lap top computer rather than a mobile device and allow yourself time to complete the application.
