The City of Brentwood's Juneteenth Celebration was held on Friday, June 19, at City Park and attracted approximately 3,100 attendees. The event featured Grammy-nominated gospel artist Kim Burrell as the headlining performer, along with a variety of local performers, community and educational booths, food vendors, craft vendors, family activities, the Downtown Brentwood Freedom Walk, and an American Red Cross Blood Drive. All available appointments for the blood drive were filled, reflecting strong community participation in this important service opportunity. Overall, the event was well attended throughout the evening and successfully provided an opportunity for the community to come together to commemorate Juneteenth through education, entertainment, and community engagement.
